If you sell food you have probably already hand-written a hundred labels, and you already know how long that takes and how uneven it looks by the fiftieth one.
Printed food labels do three jobs. They tell the buyer what the product is. They carry the information a food buyer looks for — net weight, best before, what is in it. And they put your name on something that travels to other people’s kitchens.
The three labels most food sellers need
The first is the front label: product name and your logo. The second is a best-before label with space to write the date by hand, so one printed batch covers months of production. The third is the ingredients panel, small text, usually stuck on the back or the underside.
All three fit on one 1ft × 4ft sheet. You do not need three separate orders.
Sizes that suit food packaging
A 2" × 3" label gives 56 pieces on a sheet and holds a full ingredients panel comfortably. A 2" × 2" gives 80 and suits jar lids and pouch fronts. A 1" × 2" gives 144 and is right for best-before strips and small bottles.
If your product is chilled or frozen
Tell us before we print. A label that goes into a chiller or gets wiped with a damp cloth needs different material from one that sits on a dry paper box. If the corners lift after two days in the fridge, the wrong material was used — that is a decision made at order time, not a fault that appears later.
